Caregivers Roles

We need caregivers who can perform the following duties: 

1. Personal Care Assistance

  • Bathing, grooming, and dressing

  • Toileting and incontinence care

  • Mobility help (transfers, walking, wheelchair support)

2. Meal Preparation & Feeding

  • Cooking nutritious meals

  • Assisting with feeding if needed

  • Monitoring diet restrictions or special nutritional needs

3. Medication Reminders

  • Ensuring medications are taken as prescribed

  • Tracking medication schedules (non-clinical unless trained/licensed)

4. Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Providing conversation and social interaction

  • Engaging in hobbies and recreational activities

  • Offering emotional reassurance, especially for those with anxiety, dementia, or depression

5. Housekeeping & Home Management

  • Light cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing

  • Organizing personal belongings

  • Grocery shopping and running errands

6. Transportation

  • Driving or accompanying clients to appointments, religious services, or community events

7. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Observing changes in physical, emotional, or mental health

  • Communicating concerns to family members or healthcare providers

  • Keeping a daily care log or report

Skilled Nurses Roles

Clinical Care & Medical Monitoring

  • Vital signs assessment: Blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate

  • Health status evaluations: Monitoring recovery progress, identifying complications

  • Patient and family education: Teaching disease management (e.g., diabetes, COPD)

Wound & Post-Surgical Care

  • Dressing changes and wound assessment

  • Infection prevention and management

  • Post-operative monitoring

Medication Management

  • Administering injections or IV medications

  • Educating patients on medication use and side effects

  • Monitoring for adverse drug reactions

Chronic Disease Management

  • Diabetes care: insulin administration, glucose monitoring

  • Heart failure: monitoring weight, symptoms, medication compliance

  • COPD: oxygen use education, breathing assessments

Catheter & Ostomy Care

  • Insertion and maintenance of urinary catheters

  • Ostomy bag changes and site care

Coordination with the Healthcare Team

  • Communicating with physicians, therapists, and case managers

  • Updating care plans based on the patient’s progress

  • Documenting patient outcomes and interventions (EMR use)
